Michi Restaurant in West Chester

Surprisingly slow service for empty restaurant with two sushi chefs. Mediocre special rolls.

Okay. We ordered 8 rolls and it was barely enough to feed 5 people. Sushi is okay although was really nothing special. Decently fast service. I would recommend the California rolls.

We had 4 sushi rolls. The Fantastic roll, the Sweetheart roll, the Yummy Yummy roll, and the Autumn Fall roll. I think my favorite was the Yummy. The food was delicious, and tasted pretty fresh. The atmosphere was a little iffy, though. It wasnt BAD, but it didnt quite reach the bar that the food put up. It was kinda dark and seemed a bit dead to us. Honestly for the quality and taste of the sushi, it should be served at a fancier place, not so much a little hole in the wall. I hope they end up going bigger. It would be very good for the place.

We love the food here, BUT 2 of the workers decided they wanted to hash out a verbal argument in the back for about 10 minutes. They were screaming at the top of their lungs at each other. I don’t care that we were one of 2 people in the restaurant it made our experience so terrible that I would not recommend to anyone. They also didn’t even come to apologize after it happened.

Miso soup with no tofu. Disgusting egg rolls with thick, spicy, sauce and flavorless sushi that falls apart on touch. Ginger is old and dry. The floor is practically an ice skating rink. Don't even make me start on the atmosphere. Fifteen years of Chinese and Japanese food and this might have been one of my worst experiences.

Decent place. Clean environment. Lunch special is definitely worth it for the bento box. Sushi rolls special seems to be a good deal, but they only provide 6 pieces of sushi instead of the typical 8 pieces. In essence, the lower price makes up for the less amount of sushi. It is what it is. The quality of the sushi is good and tastes fresh. Would definitely recommend Michi as a place to dine for lunch if you're around the area.

Consistent quality of food, the menu is simple and the Sushi is great.

Sushi's very fresh here !!! This is one of the best restaurants I've been to for hibachi. They bring out the food with excellent quality and quick so you're in-and-out of this place and got a good meal. The prices are also very affordable and you know that when you get your food it's gonna be great. Staff is really on top of cleaning and getting dishes and plates out of the way, and they basically make it feel comfortable for you in there, it's such a small little restaurant with a modernized look,definetly one of the best around town.

I ordered through Doordash. The sashimi bento box was fresh and tasted amazing and the wonton soup was as it should be - thin wonton wrapper and well seasoned meat inside, all in delicious broth.

One of my absolute favorite places the owner and all the staff are always incredibly friendly and happy to help anyway they. Their sushi bowl is my favorite thing but all of their food is good and reasonably priced. Love this place

I have been a patron of this restaurant for the last 4 years. They have always been fantastic, and have only improved the already excellent experience of their customers during this time. Myself and my many friends have always enjoyed our experience here.The staff are all respectful, polite, and friendly.The service is quick, and professionally executed. This is definitely one of the best local sushi spots. Friends of mine have hosted birthday parties at this location, and the staff were even kind enough to bring the cake out as a surprise. These days there are not many restaurants out there that are dedicated to their craft for the sake of your dining experience. Michi however- is a reputable establishment where I know they are truly dedicated to bringing you wonderful food, service, and overall local dining experience. I highly recommend Michi Sushi. Our community would not be the same if they ever left.

I'm a regular here. I go almost once a week and it's good basic sushi at a really good price. I love the house roll and dragon roll. Always fresh and the staff is very friendly.

Our number one stop for when getting sushi in the area. They have tons of rolls to choose from and are very affordable. If you haven’t been, this is a must try for sushi or any Japanese cuisine. Their lunch specials are also very good and affordable for a break from the office.

Best middle price point location in the area

Food is good! Located in a strip mall, it is good for a quick meal! Service is good too! Would definitely recommend this place! I liked their bento box, which is also available for dinner!

This is the best reasonably priced sushi and Asian food restaurant in the West Chester area. 2 rolls of choice for $8.50. The owners both work there. Great people as well.

This place is ok on food, great on location and atmosphere. It's a good choice for a quick in and out sit-down meal. I recommend the dinner box (bento box).

We had a great experience at Michi. The food was very good except that they put very little tofu (almost non-existent) and seaweed in the Miso soup.

last night was our first time in this good restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the great food and booze and with the decent cost. We will no doubt return there in a short time.

Never had any problems. Courteous and timely, have ordered occasional take-out for years.

The food is always fresh and yummy, workers hands over good customer service. I love how neat it is and character. Worth a try.

Beef & broccoli smelled fishy. Although it looked bad, I still tried it & it tasted just as bad as it looked and smelled. General tsos was not good & wonton in the wonton soup were paper thin dumplings. No fortunate cookies either....?

Great experience for a first time with Sushi! Fried Rice and Dinner tray is good as well! The Miso soup was good, but only when you got to the bottom and could taste the spices. I found out about this place from the owner’s daughter!

Hands down the best sushi I ever had. Staff is excellent and service is great. They are all super kind and friendly and all the food we've tried in the several times we have been here is awesome. Definitely recommend!!

Ordered the pork ramen through door dash. Didn’t know what to expect. Got my order took 2 bites and struggled to get them Down. Broth has no flavor. Tastes like poor miso soup, noodles were literally mush and everything smells of stinky eggs. Maybe this is a different type of ramen I’m not used to but I was highly disappointed. Their other food may be delicious but I do not recommend the ramen!

Good sushi

I’m all about the “buy one, get one half off” of their special rolls! Delicious! The eagle roll is by far my favorite. They recently renovated the place (as in a year or so ago) and it’s very nice inside. Their takeout order is never wrong. They do charge extra for side sauces (i.e., eel sauce, spicy mayo, etc.) which is annoying considering other local places don’t, but that’s probably my only complaint! It’s a great byob or takeout option!

Take out service is fast and the food is good. Its a little pricey but it is higher quality and you get what you pay for. I recommend the lunch or dinner bento boxes.

I’ve had sushi from here before wanting to write this review. The fish is usually fresh and the rolls are good for the price.. this time was different. Upon opening the containing holding the sushi I was dismayed to see just how small the sushi roll I had gotten was. Along with that, I got miso soup, very bland. Don’t think I will visit again with there being many other sushi restaurants to choose from in the area.

Really good sushi at an awesome price, almost never a wait for a table. It honestly shocks me that more people aren't at this place more regularly. It is nearly impossible to beat the price to quality ratio of this spot.
